Introduction

Nigeria’s tech landscape is booming. It’s an exciting time to be part of the industry, but while the sector is growing at an impressive rate, the numbers reveal a story of inequality. Despite recent progress in gender equality, women remain underrepresented and lack adequate support in Nigeria’s tech industry.

According to the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics, women account for only 22% of those studying Engineering, Mathematics, Science, and Technology in the country. The gender gap in tech is a complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach to address.
